Final Green Cleaning Guidelines Released Print E-mail

The final Green cleaning guidelines were released, August 4, 2007. Click Here for a cover letter and web links to the released documents as produced by the following State agencies: Education, General Services, Health, Environmental Conservation, and Labor. This document has been changed from the original draft based on public comment received. EXCEL Program Information Available on NYSED Web Site Print E-mail

Information was posted yesterday on the EXCEL funding (Expanding our Children's Education and Learning) program included as part of the State Budget. This information is drafted as a memo in a question and answer format. The memo addresses some key issues including eligible projects, the timing and processing of payments, and the application process - for districts other than New York City. A document developed by the State Office of General Services, the State Education Department, State Department of Health, State Department of Environmental Conservation, and State Department of Labor has been released to answer the many questions schools are having about the upcoming regulation requiring the use of environmentally sensitive cleaning products.
